Jesus’ new commandment is to do unto others as Jesus has done for us! Extend the same grace, mercy, and forgiveness that Jesus extended to you to everybody you meet.

Our question is not so much, “Is this right or wrong?” as it is “Who am I becoming?”

When a decision creates uneasiness, don’t ignore it—pause, explore the tension, and trust that God may be using your conscience to guide and protect you. 

To decide our way into a better future, we must develop the habit of telling ourselves the truth.

Surrendering to God means giving up my attempts to shape my life and identity according to my desires. 

In solitude, we withdraw from the presence of other people to pray, read scripture, or simply be in God’s presence. 

To experience God’s healing, we have to first acknowledge and accept our failures and wounds. 

When we recognize our place in God’s universe, we no longer have to make ourselves the center. Freed from the pressure to make ourselves great, we can enjoy the wonders of God’s world.

We do not have sleepwalk through life. Jesus offers us the life we were made for!
