Paul is now under the control of a new Roman governor Festus. Felix was removed from office so now after 2 years in prison, Paul had to appeal to Festus. Listen to hear how Festus anxiously approaches Paul’s case so Paul’s last straw ends up being “I appeal to Caesar!”  Festus wanted to hand him over to the Jerusalem Sanhedrin but Paul seeing it was illegal appealed to the highest court in Rome.
