The New Testament is filled with commands for believers to be witnesses to the gospel along with instructions on how to be that light effectively. In this wonderful story, Paul does not tell us how to evangelize persuasively, rather he exemplifies it for us. His respectfulness, transparency, honesty, confidence and willingness to suffer are all essential ingredients for us if we hope to effectively engage our culture with the gospel.
