* A goad is a long pole with a pointed piece on the end.
* Farmers used it to guide their oxen.
* It’s not meant to hurt the animal, but to lead them.
* If the animal kicked against it then the animal could get hurt.
* God was guiding Paul through conviction in his heart, but he was kicking against it.
* This was a losing battle for him.
* The minute an ox surrenders to the goad he can be of great use to the farmer.
* The minute we submit to God’s Word God can use us for good.
