In this episode, we read Acts chapters 12 and 13, where we see both the challenges and the expansion of the early church. Chapter 12 highlights persecution under King Herod, including the imprisonment of Peter. Yet through the prayers of believers, God miraculously delivers him, showing His power and faithfulness even in dangerous circumstances.

Chapter 13 marks a major shift as the church begins actively sending out missionaries. The Holy Spirit sets apart Barnabas and Saul for a new work, and they begin their first missionary journey, preaching the gospel to new regions and audiences.

Acts 12–13 reminds us that while opposition may come, God is still in control, and His mission continues to move forward through faithful, obedient believers who are willing to go where He calls them.
