In the final lesson of The Revelation of Jesus, we bring the entire ten-week series together and answer the most important question:
What difference does this revelation make?
The revelation of one God in Jesus Christ is more than doctrine to explain or defend. It changes how we understand salvation, baptism, the Holy Ghost, worship, prayer, spiritual authority, and everyday Christian living.
This lesson reviews and applies the major truths of the series:
• There is one indivisible God
• God is Spirit
• God was manifested in flesh as Jesus Christ
• Jesus possesses complete deity and genuine humanity
• All the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily in Christ
• Jesus is the one saving name
• Water baptism is administered in Jesus’ name
• The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of Christ dwelling within us
• The revelation of Jesus should produce worship, humility, obedience, and spiritual experience
Knowing truth should never make us arrogant. The purpose of revelation is not merely to make us better at defending doctrine. The purpose is to help us know Jesus, walk with Him, be filled with His Spirit, and reveal Him to the world.
