00:26 – A brief overview of these chapters.

01:58 – Peter is commanded to take the gospel to the Gentiles, starting with Cornelius who is a Roman centurion.

14:26 – As Gentiles are brought into the Church, a disagreement arises between Peter and strict followers of the Jewish law.

18:58 – James, the brother of John, is martyred for his belief in Christ. Peter is freed from prison by an angel. We should avoid comparing our trials to other people’s mercies.

23:10 – Christian tradition relates that many of the apostles were martyred.

32:39 – Paul and Barnabas are called to missionary service.

40:28 – The apostles meet at the Jerusalem Conference and conclude that Gentiles can be baptized without circumcision. This meeting shows us how we can council more effectively today.
