To say that the first-century church was a growing church would be a major understatement. The early church did not merely grow; she exploded onto the scene and continued multiplying in number for many years. One principal reason for such growth was the early church's commitment to courageous, persistent preaching. Neither the threat of persecution nor the painful experience of it halted their evangelistic efforts.
