Garry Abbott // Jesus sees us—he doesn’t look past us—even when we’re broken. Whatever we are struggling with as individuals, God cares about our suffering. Our circumstances aren’t always a lesson. He loves us far more than that. But in times that things just don’t add up, we remember that God can bring rightness into what’s broken. Difficulty and discomfort don’t excuse us from believing God can do new things for all of us. He cares about us and he invites us to join him in his healing work in the world even though we are imperfect—to affirm dignity and to offer what we have to help people take their next steps to new life.
