In this section of scripture, we see the very first conflict among the people of the early church. A conflict that could have caused division among those that Jesus died to bring unity to. The remedy, serve one another (deacon one another) as Christ has served them! As Christians we are to follow in the footsteps of the ultimate deacon, the suffering servant, who came not to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.
