On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples and did the miraculous through them. Yet many of those that saw this happen were confused while still others mocked. So the Apostle Peter, filled with the Holy Spirt, preached the gospel, and through his message, the Holy Spirit saved thousands. In this text, we examine Peter's great sermon on the day of Pentecost which helped birth the Church. We see that the Holy Spirit was given to regenerate hearts through the preaching of the gospel, and to bring about our repentance and faith which results in a life of devotion to Christ.
