Acts: Waiting in Prayer

Listen Later

In week two of our new series through the book of Acts, we explore what it looks like to wait well on God. After Jesus ascends to heaven, the disciples find themselves in a moment of uncertainty — unsure of what comes next, but confident in who they trust.

From Acts 1:12–26, we see the early church respond not with panic or self-direction, but with prayer, unity, and dependence on God’s guidance. This message reminds us that when we’re unsure of the next step, God invites us to slow down, stay close to Him, and allow the Holy Spirit to lead our decisions.

The morning also concludes with a powerful celebration of baptism — a reminder that the greatest decision we ever make is to follow Jesus.
