In Acts 1:12–26, the disciples gather together prayerfulness to seek God's direction for their future following Jesus' ascension. Recognizing their need for guidance in selecting a replacement for Judas Iscariot, the disciples turn to God’s Word and Prayer as they seek to discern the will of God. What we see is that our response to the Gospel is to seek the Will of the Father in Gospel-centered community and Spirit-empowered prayerfulness.
