The horror movies conversation continue!
We talk about underrated movies, underrated movies, the scariest movie we've ever seen, and more! From final girls to phobias, we try and cover as much horror ground as possible in part 2!
Again - if you hear a movie being mentioned, we likely will talk about spoilers - most of which are old movies...but just in case!
BTW - Steggy wants everyone to know the line she was thinking of was "what are you waiting for?!" :P
Spooky season is FINALLY here!
We split our horror movie conversation into 2 episodes where we dive into our favorite scary movies, ranking horror classics, share our hot takes, and debating which films deserve the hype (and which ones don't).
From nostalgic favorites to unforgettable scares, we're talking all things horror just in time for Halloween!
*If you hear a movie being mentioned, we likely will talk about spoilers - most of which are old movies...but just in case!
Not our typical happy-go-lucky episode.
In this episode, we dive into the uncomfortable conversations surrounding sexual assault and victim blaming/shaming. From the pressure to fight back to the stigma surrounding not just fraternities, but men in general - we question and discuss why women are taught to fear men and these types of situations, yet are often questioned, blamed, and doubted when the DO happen.
Trigger warning - we do talk about different types of assault. If this is a hard subject for you to listen to, we encourage you to skip this one. That being said, we really do believe this is an extremely important topic that we couldn't ignore.
The story continues, and we've still got plenty to yap about! Steggy would like to apologize in advance for how much she moves the mic - the girl cannot sit still!
In Part Two of our one-year anniversary celebration, we're looking ahead to another year of Actually, You Know What?! with a little wishful thinking, some expected word vomit, and a lot of laughs!
We're answering submitted questions, sharing our hopes for Year Two (including possibly streaming?), spilling a little behind-the-scenes tea, and putting our bestie knowledge to the test with a rapid-fire round of questions.
Once upon a time, two besties decided to turn their endless yapping into a podcast, and somehow here we are one year later!Join us as we celebrate one whole year of Actually, You Know What? We're reminiscing about how it all began, the little bits of magic we've created along the way, our favorite episodes, and the love / support that made it all possible. From witchy Etsy creations to heartfelt conversations and plenty of expected tangents, we're celebrating a year of yapping, vulnerability, and doing things simply because they bring us joy!
Mal and Steggy dive into even more MCU conversation as well as what Mal has been up to, our new girly craft nights, the opening of girl friend applications, how much time we've spent at the movies, and more! We're back, and we're comin in hot with at least 13 more episodes this year!
Steggy and Mal accidentally took a bit of a duo podcast hiatus - whoops! On the last episode (the Breakup) I (Steggy) mentioned we would be talking about how busy the Summer was - and here it is! From plans with each other, community, and work - to checking in on our physical and mental health - Summer was absolutely crazy and went by extremely quickly!
But we're back! We talk about all the things we've had going on while also visiting topics like our health, Avengers Endgame Encore, and other random stuff. Glad to be back, and we have a lot more episodes to drop with a goal of 45 by the end of this year!
No fun cosmic names for this one plain and simple - it's THE breakup.
Sometimes the hardest part of a breakup isn’t losing the person, but rather letting go of who you thought they could be.
The ✨potential✨
In this solo episode, I’m talking about the patterns I’ve noticed in my relationships, the line between being accommodating and self-abandonment, grieving aforementioned potential, learning to believe people's actions, and more! Find out why this breakup hit just a little different than the previous ones.
It's just lesson after lesson, and I'm living for it! If any of these lessons resonate with you, let me know I'm not alone!😭
Mal and Steggy circle back on their list of "hot takes" (which might actually just be lukewarm) from "too much" communication to the "bean soup" mentality. Take a listen and see if you agree or disagree with the topics at hand!
This week, we dive into the 2nd half of Love Island! We know reality TV isn't for everyone - but we can't help but be obsessed with this show! Don't worry, we sprinkle in some stuff about farts and people's behavior, too.
