In about 1990 Dave bought a cassette compilation from Shrimper Records outta Upland, CA and one song called "At The Mall" thrilled him. He dove in and bought everything that band did. The Mommyheads were that band. 5 years later his band The Zambonis got signed to Dot Dot Dash records in NYC. Record producer and Zamboni and Philistines jr leader Peter Katis was part of the higher ups with the label. Dave said, you have to sign The Mommyheads! We all went to see them play at the old tiny Knitting Factory in NYC and they were mind blowing. Peter ended up producing the 4th record by the band "Bingham's Hole". People loved that record and it was a critical hit. They then signed to Geffen and a wild journey began for the band. They have just put out their 17th record titled "No Quietus".
