Adam Hayden is a philosopher of science, a champion of the humanities in medical education, an advocate for palliative care, and a person living with brain cancer (glioblastoma). He serves on multiple national advisory councils focused on patient engagement and advocacy, he is a member of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) scientist-survivor program and he co-moderates a monthly social media chat and a virtual support group for the brain tumor community.
