On January 8th, 1902 Adam Worth died. He was buried in Highgate Cemetery in a mass pauper's grave under the name of "Henry J. Raymond". An unceremonious end to a man whose crimes may have inspired Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous character Moriaty, the criminal mastermind.
