Game Setup

Last Time on When Black Roses Bloom: The heroes crashed for the evening and night to memorize spells. They woke and resurrected Ser’s, then continued to search the keep until eventually returning to the throne room. They decided to enter the mirrors and try confronting Lord Soth. The first mirror was a reimagining of the rescue of the elven maids en route to Palanthas from ogres. The heroes ended up confronting the ogres and rescuing the maidens, enraging Lord Soth and kicking him out of the mirror. Talendril entered the second mirror which was a mock trial for Caradoc. He was blamed for killing Soth’s wife when Soth actually did it himself. Talendril convinced Caradoc to stand up and refute the sentence, and they both fought and died, ruining the memory. Soth was again outraged and ejected from a mirror. The third mirror was an imagined scene with Soth confronting the Kingpriest. The heroes killed the Idealised version of Soth, ejecting him from the mirror. The fourth mirror did not go to plan as Lord Soth killed Tanis Half-Elven and claimed the Crown of Power, ejecting the heroes from the mirror. The fifth mirror seems to be a tournament which is where we pick up with today’s session.
