Monica shares her lows of having to apply for her Massage Therapy license and needing some extra space in her application to account for her criminal record. Monica reflects on her history of addiction and how that eventually led to jail, prison terms, and a string of recovery homes. She opens up about coming out to her family, remembering some childhood abuse, and how a break up caused a spiral into 20 years of drinking and meth use. Monica then talks about her recovery process and how it took years of relapse after relapse to finally come to the end of her ropes. She describes what it was like coming to realize sobriety was her only option.
