There are many addictions that people suffer from. However, there is one specific addiction that rarely EVER gets noticed and treated. That, is the addiction to drama. The need to continually place yourself into a conflict based situation. A fight or flight situation. Or an emotion-only situation. Here are some ways to tell if this is you: Having the news on for background noise. Obsession with violent video games. Becoming angry again with past events. Unhappy with silence and down time. Posting hate filled content on social media. Easily offended by everything that is said. Your time is extremely valuable. The amount of wasted energy on fabricated nonsense is one of the make or break points for success at any level. If you are constantly creating fires just to put them out, you are draining your mind, body and spirit of growth and preventing yourself from achievement. This addiction kills people slowly and quietly. “drama does not create itself...you either attract it or associate with it.”
