Hey, today I'm going to be talking about adding affiliate links to Instagram, and how to use an Instagram to make money.   What I was doing for a long time with Instagram is sticking the link to my website in my profile. With my website I created a short video and then a link to an optin page.  

This optin page would then capture someone's email address. All the affiliate offers I promote is through email only.  If you are trying to do affiliate marketing without an email list, you are missing out on a ton of money.

Most people do not buy right away and this is why an email list, you have to have for affiliate marketing.  Then what happened was Facebook banned my link. I could not use my website link in Facebook or Instagram. I tried a few work around like sending someone to a YouTube video, but it didn't work. 

Then I found Linktree. Linktree is a very awesome tool that I recommend you look into. What it does is enable you to get one bio link. This bio link you can put in both Instagram and Facebook.  This bio link then sends someone to page where you can promote anything you want. You can send someone to a squeeze page, videos, articles or anywhere.  

I recommend only sending someone to a squeeze page or optin page because the list is by far the most important thing I have.  Heck, you can even use linktree to promote affiliate offers if you want. Again, I recommend getting someone on your list and then promote your offers through email.   

I hope this makes sense. The million dollar question is how do you promote your Instagram profile. One thing I love doing is making 1 minute videos.   Usually with my content I'll share 1 or 2 tips and make a 1 minute video with it. Then at the end of the video I will tell someone to click on the link in my profile to discover my number 1 tip to growing an affiliate business. 

Also in the description. I will tell people to click on the link in my profile. Another very big thing about Instagram is everything is about Hashtags.    This is how your posts get discovered. I'll use a tool called Displaypurposes and when you insert 1 keyword it will give you 30 more just like it.  These 30 keywords you can use to help get your content discovered.  

Videos are 1 type of content I love to post on Instagram. Another really great idea is to repost other people's content.  Yea, you don't even have to take original pictures to post them. You can if you want and I do sometimes.  This is how you do it.  When you see an image you like there are 3 icons at the bottom. There is the heart icon, There is the comment icon and then there is the paper airplane icon.   

The paper airplane icon is on the right side and you want to click on it.  Now you can send this image to anyone you want. At the very top it says to add post to your story. Click on that link.   

Next the image comes up where you can draw on it and write. At the very top left is an x button and this gets you out of this screen.   Next to it is a smiley face that lets you post some crazy image. To right of this is an arrow that points down. Click on the arrow that points down.   

This enables you to download the image. Go to you images in your phone, I use the gallery app. Find the image on your phone and you want to click on the share button.
