"Addition by Subtraction"

Hebrews 10:1-18

I. Through his sacrifice, Jesus removes our sins

A. Jesus takes away our sins completely

B. Jesus takes away our sins forever

My sin—O, the bliss of this glorious thought,

my sin—not in part, but the whole,

is nailed to the cross and I bear it no more:

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

II. Because of his sacrifice, Jesus radically transforms life here-and-now for us

A. Live with great confidence that God wants you to be close to him

B. Trust the deep healing work of Christ

C. Grow in personal holiness by Christ's grace
