Adena White is stepping out of her comfort zone to make a difference. A self-described introvert, White recently launched the Blackbelt Voices podcast to give a voice to black Southerners.
“We’re excited to tell the stories of black people making a change in the South,” White said. “I think centering those other voices is important for all of us. It’s not that we’re excluding someone. We’re just centering voices that are often unheard, and I think it’s important for all of us to learn from other people.”
White shared more about Blackbelt Voices with host Natalie Ghidotti on the latest episode of The Ghidotti Podcast, including where the idea for the podcast came from and how today’s political environment spurred White and her co-hosts to prioritize its launch.
