This is a podcast/post I've had brewing for a while in my brain.
I've seen some huge shifts in where people get their ADHD info over the last few years. Some of it is really good.
Things like podcasts have made high quality information more accessible to everyone.
But social media has actually made it more difficult for people to get good information. There is so much noise, so much misinformation, it's become overwhelming.
The average person cannot tell the difference between a well-intentioned content creator, and a person who really just wants to make some quick cash without knowing much about ADHD at all.
We've lost sight of what real community looks like. We think we have to put up with what's out there. Or shell out a bunch of money to get help.
I believe we can do better.
