John Emotions overshares his long-running challenges with ADHD. Once diagnosed in grade school, John's parents let the ADHD go untreated until John became too much to handle, and they both banned him from their respective homes by age 14.Later, after years of relative success masking as normal, John's marriage ended, leaving him in an emergency psych ward where they "diagnosed" him with bipolar disorder after about 20 minutes. This misdiagnosis led to ten years of psych meds that did not work, because bipolar meds do not work on ADHD. Hyperactivity is not mania. People suffering from severe ADHD cannot sort these things out alone. Brother G, suffers from ADHD and has a similar background to John with one exception; Brother G inherited money and doesn't have the pressure of working. This espiode covers some of the important differences money and supportive relatives have on the outcome of a kid with untreated ADHD after they become an adult with ADHD.Contact info and current socials at emodojo.com
