Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has come under massive criticism following the announcement of the e-levy or tax on MoMo transaction by the Finance Minister during the 2022 budget presentation. Dr. Bawumi in an interview on Peace FM in August 2020, said he did not support the suggestion that mobile money transactions must be charged or taxed.
