and Prince Silas notices blood inside her mouth. Believing she was

attacked by pirates and left to die, the prince vows to provide whatever

she needs. They transport Serena to the prince's palace on a different

kind of horse than she's used to, and Serena is filled with joy at her

newfound freedom.
