Young adults failing to leave the nest is a pervasive problem in our society. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with supporting your adult children, financially or otherwise, but such support can often come at a cost to the progress and development of your adult children. As selfish as it may sound, putting your adult children (that are able) before your own financial freedom is a problem that will keep you from meeting your financial goals over time.
