جھیل سیف الملوک پاکستان کے ناران سے قریب وادی کاغان کے شمالی حصہ میں واقع ہے۔

یہ خیبر پختونخوا صوبہ میں ہے اور سمندر کی سطح سے 10,000 فٹ سے زیادہ بلندی پر واقع ہے۔

یہ پاکستان کی سب سے اونچی جھیلوں میں سے ایک ہے اور درختوں کی قطاروں سے بہت اوپر واقع ہے۔

ہزاروں سال میں برف کے ملبوں نے جھیل کی شکیل اختیار کرلی اور اس سے ہوکر گزرنے والی ندی کے بہاؤ کو روک دیا۔

اس کا آغاز پلیستوسین دور (برفانی دور) میں وادی کاغان کی تشکیل سے ہوا جب علاقہ انتہائی سرد تھا اور گلیشیئر (برف کی چٹان) بنا۔

جب گزرتے ہوئے برسوں میں وہاں درجہ حرارت میں اضافہ ہوا، تو برف کی چٹانوں میں کمی آئی، ایک گہرا دباؤ باقی رہ گیا، اور پگھلنے والی برف کی چٹانوں سے نکلنے والے پانی نے جھیل سیف الملوک کی شکل اختیار کرلی۔

جھیل سیف الملوک ماحولیات کے حساب سے بہت ہی مختلف ہے اور مختلف اقسام کے نیلے- سبز پودے اور 26 قسم کے عروقی پودوں کا ماخذ ہے۔

پیدل چلنے والے افراد ہنس گلی کے راستہ سے ہوکر کئی دنوں کا سفر کر کے جھیل تک پہنچتے ہیں، جو قدرت کا شاندار نظارہ پیش کرتی ہے۔

جھیل میں برفانی طوفان کے ساتھ سردی بہت شدید ہوجاتی ہے، کم دکھائی دیتا ہے، اور درجہ حرارت صفر سے نیچے چلا جاتا ہے، لیکن قدرت سے محبت کرنے والے پہاڑ کی چوٹی تک سفر کرتے ہیں جہاں پر جھیل موجود ہے۔

Lake Saiful Malook is located not far from the Naran, Pakistan toward the northern part of Kaghan Valley.

It's in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province and sits more than 10,000 feet above sea level.

It's one of Pakistan's highest lakes and is situated far above the tree line.

Glacial moraines formed the lake over thousands of years by blocking the flow of the stream that passed through the vale.

It started with the formation of Kaghan Valley during the Pleistocene Era when the region was gelid and held glaciers.

As the temperatures there climbed over the years, the glaciers receded, leaving a deep depression, and the water from the melting glaciers formed Lake Saiful Malook.

Lake Saiful Malook is very ecologically sundry and a source of a manifold of different kinds of blue-green algae and 26 different types of vascular plant.

Hikers can reach the lake after days of trekking via the Hans Gali path, which offers glorious views of nature at its most superlative.

Winters at the lake are exceedingly harsh with blizzards, poor visibility, and temperatures below zero, but nature lovers still make the trek up to the apex of the mountain where the lake sits.

Wild animals also roam the land, sending fear into the hearts of hikers, although usually not enough to make them turn back.

Locals often only go part of the way up the mountain and turn back at a certain point.

Because of this, the trail disappears, leaving hikers to find their way without a trail as a reference point.
