Vila Tugendhat je populárním cílem turistů v Brně v České republice.

Nachází se v jedné z nejbohatších brněnských čtvrtí Černých Polích.

Vila Tugendhat je dílem známého německého architekta Ludwiga Miese van der Rohe a je pokládána za jednu z průkopnických ikon funkcionalismu a modernismu.

Tato třípatrová historická budova byla postavena ze železobetonu v letech 1928 až 1930.

Je postavena na svahu a situována jihozápadním směrem.

Hlavní obývací prostory jsou umístěny ve druhém patře, které je ve skutečnosti přízemím.

Na patře je rovněž terasa, zimní zahrada a pokoje pro služebnictvo.

Ve třetím patře, které je ve skutečnosti prvním patrem, je umístěn hlavní vchod.

Průchod vede do vstupního prostoru, hlavních ložnic a na terasu.

Je zde také speciální byt pro řidiče vedle garáží.

Když byla Vila Tugendhat postavena, byl především kladen důraz na myšlenku „méně je více" a na praktické vybavení.

Návrh se vyhýbá použití podpůrných stěn a místo toho uspořádává interiéry pro maximalizaci světla a prostoru.

Architekt také navrhl pro tento dům speciální nábytek, včetně dvou specifických druhů židlí, které byly navrženy pouze pro Vilu Tugendhat.

Židle Brno a židle Tugendhat se vyrábí dodnes, takže kdokoliv chce jednu nebo obě vlastnit, může si je zakoupit.

Uvnitř budovy je také několik klasických kusů nábytku navržených Lillou Reich.

Villa Tugendhat is a popular tourist destination in Brno, Czech Republic.

It is located in Cerna Pole, one of Brno's wealthiest neighborhoods.

Created by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, a well-known German architect, the structure is one of Europe's pioneering prototypes of functionalism and a modernism icon.

The historical building was constructed of reinforced concrete between 1928 and 1930, and it has three stories.

It sits on a slope and faces toward the southwest.

The main living areas are located on the second story, which is actually the ground floor.

There is also a terrace, conservatory, and servants' quarters located on the floor.

The third story of the structure, which is actually the first floor, is where the main entrance is located.

A passageway leads to the entrance area, the main bedrooms, and the terrace.

There is also a special flat for the chauffeur along with the home's garages.

When Villa Tugendhat was built, it was the first to use the idea that less is more and focus on functional amenities.

The design avoids the use of supporting walls, instead arranging the inside of the structure to maximize light and space.

The architect also designed special furnishings to go along with the home, including two specific kinds of chairs which were designed just for the Villa Tugendhat.

The Brno chair and the Tugendhat chair are both still in production today so that anyone who wants to own one or both of these chairs can actually purchase them.

A few classic pieces of furniture designed by Lilly Reich are also used inside the building.
