لاہور قلعہ لاہور کے فصیل بند شہر کے اقبال پارک میں واقع ہے، جو کہ پاکستان کے سب سے بڑے شہری پارکوں میں سے ایک ہے۔

اس قلعہ کا آغاز ہزاروں سال قبل دور قدیم میں ہوا، اور اس کی کئی مرتبہ تعمیر نو اور تجدید نو ہوئی ہے۔

The Lahore Fort is situated in the Walled City of Lahore's Iqbal Park, which is one of Pakistan's biggest urban parks.

The fort's origins stretch back thousands of years into antiquity, and it has been and rebuilt and also refurbished many times.

The configuration with the current base dates back to Mughal Emperor Akbar's reign between the years of 1556 and 1605.

Since that base was put in place, Mughal, British, and Sikh leaders upgraded it on a perpetual basis.

The earliest structure at the fort's location was made of mud, and because of its strategic position between the Mughal Empire and the other strongholds of Kashmir, Multan, and Kabul, the old fort had to be demolished and the site fortified with masonry.

The Persian Gardens influence dominates the structure, which has two areas.

One is the bureaucratic area, which features gardens, an area for royal audiences to be held, and main entrances.

The second is a more private and hidden residential section.

The northern part of the residential section is taken up by courts, which can be reached through the elephant gate.

The residential part of the fort also has capacious bedrooms and small gardens.

The exterior walls of the Lahore Fort are ornamented with blue Persian tiles.

The original gate overlooks the Maryam Zamani Mosque, while the bigger Alamgiri sits across from Hazuri Bagh through the Badshahi Mosque.

In addition to the Mughal architecture, there are also signs of Hindu influences in the corbels, which are zoomorphic in design.
