Advent means “arrival”. As we celebrate the arrival of Jesus, our theme for Advent is “Peace On Earth”. Since Jesus’ birth is the arrival of Peace on Earth, we will be exploring the different ways that Jesus brings Peace throughout the birth narratives in the Gospels of Matthew & Luke. Through the birth narrative, Jesus brings Peace to different people in different places who have very different circumstances, but His arrival unleashes something profoundly powerful that transforms them all. Our prayer is that we would experience that same Peace during advent and extend that Peace to others too.
