This week we are centering our lives on what it means to LONG for Jesus. To really truly desire His coming, and to make room in our hearts for His birth to carry the weight that it deserves! During a season known for its “hustle and bustle” we can’t manufacture longing… it takes time, prayer, fasting, focus, and daily obedience.

Our prayer is that as you listen each day, our hearts are getting more and more focused on the “reason for the season.” Like Simeon & Anna, let our hearts burn to see Jesus come!

Advent Day 3 Scripture:

The story of Mary and Joseph presenting Jesus tells us that Mary and Joseph were faithful Jews. Usually when Jewish parents presented a firstborn son in the Temple, they would offer a new lamb. However, Jewish law allowed those who were poor to offer two turtledoves. Simeon and Anna were faithful Jews who had waited all their lives for the Messiah. At the Temple, they recognized Jesus as the Promised One.
