Isaiah 40:31 promises a strength that doesn’t come from us — but from waiting on the Lord. In this Advent season, when our hearts can feel tired, stretched, or overwhelmed, God offers renewal, endurance, and the ability to rise above what weighs us down.

Today we reflect on what it means to “wait on the Lord” in a world that rushes, pushes, and demands constant movement. Advent invites us to slow down, breathe, and trust. As we do, God gives fresh strength for weary souls, fresh endurance for long journeys, and fresh hope for the days ahead.
