Isaiah describes the peaceable kin-dom. John the Baptist calls us to prepare the way of the Lord. These come together in the lectionary for us in Advent Week 2 RCL Year A. Isaiah's description of what is to come, and John the Baptist insisting that we prepare the way of the Lord, we should realize that we are the peace that the world needs. It is up to all of us to bring peace into the world. This makes the path for Christ to come into the world, and makes peace possible. May you find that peace for yourself, and share it.
