WE read today of the visit of the angel Gabriel to Mary as recorded in Luke 1:26-38. Mary knew this message would change her life and that of the world, and it caused her to respond with fear, distress, and questioning. Yet, in the end, she submitted to God's will and His plan for her and the world.
