Raven's Readings

Adventures of Tom Sawyer - Chapter #35. The boys are rich. Plus teasers on my next readings.

Listen Later

Welcome to Raven's Readings. I'll be reading from The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, published in 1876 by Mark Twain. It's set in 1840 along the Mississippi River, near the town of Hannibal, where Twain grew up.

In the last Chapters, Tom and Huck announced their new found riches. All that gold will change their lives, but how much?

I do readings twice a week, Tuesdays and Fridays, today is the last chapter of this story. I'm considering two possibilities for the next story. Once choice would be to do Anne of Green Gables, by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Or I could do Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town, by the Canadian humourist, Stephen Leacock. I'll read a bit from each at the end of this, let me know which you prefer. If you subscribe to my substack newsletter, you'll get notified of my updates as soon as they are ready.

And remember that you can manage here which sections from my SubStack you'll get emails for - Fiction, Odds and ends, Podcastings, or all.
