We are all aware of the H&M advert that led to the physical destruction of some of their stores. This is one of the many adverts that have sparked an outrage because of the racial nature of the content.

The recent outrage is of a Clicks advert, supplied to it by the TRESemmé shampoo brand being promoted, which included pictures of four women – two black and two white – and described the hair of the two black women as ‘dry and damaged; and ‘frizzy and dull’, while the images depicting the white women’s hair were described as ‘fine and flat hair’ and ‘normal hair’.
