advienne que pourra – happen that will. advienne is the subjonctive form – 3rd person singular – of the verb advenir, which means ‘to happen’, to occur’. pourra is the future tense of the verb pouvoir, which means ‘to be able to’, ‘can’. In everyday French, advienne que pourra means ‘whatever happens, happens’.
