The Seven Last Words are the final statements spoken by Jesus Christ during His crucifixion, drawn from the four canonical Gospels. Since the 16th century, these sacred sayings have been central to Good Friday observances, inspiring sermons, theological reflection, and devotional practices across Christian traditions. They remain an integral part of liturgy in Catholic, Protestant, and other Christian communities, and have also inspired numerous musical compositions throughout history.
