Andy Murray became the first Briton since before World War 2 to win more than one title at London’s Queen’s Club, and Sabine Lisicki powered her way through Daniela Hantuchova to take the title in Birmingham. While the rain fell in England on Sunday, Murray and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, his opponent in the final, played a friendly game of ping pong, which Tsonga apparently won. Meanwhile, opening round play began at tournaments at s’-Hertogenbosch and Eastbourne Monday. The Williams sisters have returned to the tour, and Venus started well with a great win over Andrea Petkovic.
