The episode closes with a Spirit-led prayer, inviting listeners to surrender fear, break free from people-pleasing, and receive fresh boldness from the Holy Spirit so listen until the end.
As a Filipino immigrant, I grew up avoiding conflict. People-pleasing felt like survival. At work, I was bullied—but I stayed silent. Confrontation wasn’t part of my culture, my DNA, or my comfort zone.
But encountering Christ changed everything.
In this episode, I share how Galatians 1:10 set me free from the bondage of people-pleasing and taught me what it truly means to live for the approval of ONE—God alone.
Today, many Christians feel pressured to stay silent. Some are opposed by unbelief, others by religious systems bound by tradition. There is censorship, societal pressure, and fear of offending others—especially when it comes to speaking biblical truth in today’s culture. But silence was never the call of the Church.
Jesus commanded us in Matthew 28:19–20 to go and make disciples. We are called to be salt and light—to preserve truth and to season our words with grace (Matthew 5:13–16). We were never meant to hide our faith or remain in the dark.
Scripture is clear: if we follow Jesus, persecution is expected (Matthew 5:10–11). So the question becomes—how do we walk in boldness without fear?
The answer is found in God’s Word:
We cannot proclaim the hope of Jesus if we are still bound by the need for human approval. We are called to speak truth in love, to obey Christ boldly, and to live for the approval of the One who will ultimately judge us—God.
This episode is an invitation to break free from people-pleasing and step fully into obedience, courage, and Kingdom purpose.
