It's another week to celebrate African musician and their songs, where all musicians and instrumentalists are welcome to commend African style. it's Afri-tunes week 79 and for this week I will be singing a song by Gbenga Akinfenwa tittled “Di mi mu” in yoruba which means “Hold me” in english.
The artist Gbenga Akinfenwa is a gospel artiste I respect so much, his desire for God is desperate,I was once opportuned to be under his live ministration when I was still in school where he sang this song, believe me the song is sweeter in live ministration, it was spirit filled that day, the atmosphere was on fire for God.
After the ministration I had to search for the song to download because I never heared of the song before the live ministration, I downloaded the song and put it on repeat to know the lyrics and arrangements, since then I had fell in love with the song.
The song is a song that explains how connected we should be with God, it's only God that can truly hold us and prevent us from falling into the trap of enemies, we need His strength to fight the battles, not physical battles but the once we can't see.
This should be our prayer everyday, we should seek for God more and more.
I choose the song because I personally need God to hold me in times of tribulations, the situation of the economy is not encouraging, lots of youth are engaging in devilish act just to enjoy the riches of the world, but I believe of God be by my side, no one can be against me.
