Hello everyone, It's Nigeria's independent week and I hope we are all having a proper holiday.
it's another week of afri-tunes, another week to celebrate African musician and their songs, African music reflects morals and culture and am glad to participate in this weeks contest.
This time I decide to go with a song by Nathaniel Bassey featuring Chandler Moore & Oba, but I'll be singing only the first and second solo.
I was already having a headache of choice of song for this, I wanted to go for something unusual, but as I was about to prepare for yesterday's Sunday independence service, I was in my room meditating while preparing for church as my neighbor played this song on his phone, meanwhile I never knew it was on radio station, I asked him to please replay the song but he said it was on FM, I immediately went to download the song.
Even though I was familiar with the song I didn't know it wasn't on my playlist. I downloaded the song with the intention of scoring it and rehearsing the lyrics, until it strucked my mind to present it for afri-tunes weekly contest.
I made up mind to do so, I believed God has indirectly directed me to sing it, there's a reason for that.
This song is a beautiful song of English with a mixture of yoruba, it's a song of exultation, praising God for His works.
The title “Olorun Agbaye” meaning “God of the universe” explains that our God is a God of wonders, He does what He says and never fails in His promise, The way he works is a mystery and magnificent.
