This week on the Africa Update Bibi chatted with Mina Ibrahim.

Mina is the founder of Shubra's Archive in Egypt. Shubra is a major part of Cairo's history so he has created a space and platform where citizens who have been there for generations can document their family's history in the area and be able to share it with other people. It's also the first grassroots project of this kind in Shubra.

He chats with Bibi about what inspired him to get his PhD in Cultural Studies and the importance of history being told from a citizen's perspective with the inclusion of the citizens.
