Usually on The Front Porch, we chop it up about topics surrounding pastoral ministry and the African-American church. But today we’re sitting with a single, African-American sister who has been serving overseas for 15 years in a closed country via the medical field. We wanted to hear about her experience and how she is leveraging it for the sake of the gospel among the 1.2 billion Muslims in the 10/40 window.

What does it look like for African-Americans to serve communities outside their context, outside the United States’ context, and even in places where the Christian community isn’t the largest community? What are the challenges and how has the Lord worked in and through those? Pull up a chair and join in on the conversation Thabiti has with this sister. We’re glad to have her on the porch!
