In a four-part documentary series, Gold Mafia exposed the illicit outflows of Gold smuggling throughout southern Africa. Not only did it expose the corruption of state officials but also unveiled the role of financial institutions and other non-state actors. Whilst this series focused on the political economy of Gold on the continent, we also discovered just how extensively organized crime and corruption operated on a global scale.
