In this episode, we’re continuing the celebration and commemoration of Black Music Month as well as commemorating the Juneteenth holiday and celebrating the life, music and legacy of Sly Stone of Sly & The Family Stone. We are diving deep into the rich history of Afrofuturism in music. From the innovated musicianship, musical lyrics, sound and onstage aesthetic and performances of the great bands and artists of the 60s and 70s like Parliament-FunkadelicEarth, Wind & FireSun Ra and others and their contributions to the look, feel and sound of Afrofuturism.
