God's plan was for the spread of the gospel to take place in the context of a group of people,

After Pentecost, Then What?, Part 1

The imagery of a potter and his intensely personal involvement with the clay strongly moves us in our efforts to serve the people of God.  As with the clay,

-God's people must be MINED, as they are valuable resources to Him.
-God's people must be MOLDED into vessels He can use for His glory.
-God's people must be MENDED from wounding and brokeness.
-God's people must be MAXIMIZED to become all that they can be in the Lord.
-God's people must be MULTIPLIED in number to reach others.
