Growing up, my Yoruba was never perfect.
Some people laughed.
Some people judged.
Some assumed I didn’t understand.
For years, I wondered if speaking Yoruba fluently made someone “more Yoruba.”
In this episode, I share my journey of insecurity, identity, growth, and why I’m proudly Yoruba despite my imperfections.
This isn’t just a story about language.
It’s a story about accepting who you are while never being afraid to keep learning.
And somewhere in the story there's a challenge for anyone who think pounded yam has competition in the food market.
Welcome to AFTER SILENCE.
